England's rugby fans were left delirious in Paris when the national team beat France in a bruising encounter to take them into the World Cup final.

In a tense match where both sides were only separated by a point for most of the 80 minutes Coach Brian Ashton's men held out for a momentous 14-9 win.

Jason Robinson, who celebrated his 50th cap tonight, said moments after the final whistle: "Another massive game, another tight game, we dug in deep - a great win a great win.''
