SCOTLAND: A fairy-Tayl for Hadden
10:14am Wednesday 5th September 2007 in Sport By Gavin McCafferty
Scotland coach Frank Hadden will rely heavily on the warrior spirit' of Simon Taylor if his side are to reach the quarter-finals or beyond in the World Cup.
Taylor, right, has recently returned to the form that saw him hailed as the golden boy of Scottish rugby, following an injury-plagued period in his career.
And Hadden has praised Taylor for his attitude, saying: I met a guy recently who talked about the most important attributes of a winner being their warrior spirit, and I think that sums up Simon to a tee.
He has got that mental strength and fortitude. He is consistently our toughest competitor, and if he came back on crutches then you would still know that you would get that out of him.
I have every confidence that if anyone can shrug off the injuries he has suffered during the last couple of years, then he can. I have confidence in his ability.'
