CEFN Fforest fighter Robbie Turley’s British title eliminator has been put back from this weekend to next month.

Turley had been set to take on Jamie Speight in Bristol this Saturday in a ten round eliminator for the British super-bantamweight title.

Instead he will have to wait until Friday, December 5, to tackle the Devon boxer at the City Academy in Bristol on a show promoted by Sanigar Events.

“Hopefully I can push the loss to one side and get a good win,” said Turley.

“I promised myself since I was a kid that I’d win the British title and I want to do that.

“I had a long break and a big sulk after the last fight and felt a bit sorry for myself.

“I had a bit of time out of the gym but after a while my body was calling me back and I’m itching to get going again.

“I think I should beat Jamie, I feel I’m better than him.

“I’ve watched a bit of him on Youtube. He’s a bit raw but he’s very strong and he’s fought at a lot of different weights up to lightweight.

“He might come in a bit heavier than me but I’m going to forget the front foot and just use my skills to beat him.”

In the main event on December 5, Bristol’s world rated bantamweight Lee Haskins will fight Mexican Willy Velazquez.

Promoter Sanigar said: "Valazquez is a good fighter and typically Mexican, in that he is all action and refuses to take a backward step. Styles make fights and this could be a great fight."

Tickets for Sanigar Events’ ‘Dragon Fire’ are priced at £35 for unreserved seating and £50 for ringside seating.
