CEFN Fforest fighter Nathan Cleverly says a deal is agreed to fight world WBA light-heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer.

The 28-year old who returns to the ring and the light heavyweight division May 30 at the O2 Arena, hopes to fight the German, in Germany, later this year.

"Terms have been agreed," Cleverly told BBC Radio Wales Sport.

"It's just a matter of me getting this next fight out of the way and then we are going to make an announcement."

"The fight will be in Germany and I think I'll quite enjoy that, it will be good," he said.

"It will probably take that edge off, that pressure off, of the home crowd behind you, so it's just a matter of going out, being ready, being focused and ripping that title from him.

"I genuinely believe I'm going to do it."

Cleverly a former WBO light heavyweight champion, who lost his title to Sergey Kovalev, is moving back down to light heavy after a dalliance in the cruiserweight division saw him defeated by rival Tony Bellew.

"It's going good, my head's on it," said Cleverly. "I feel focused, fit, ready, making the weight quite comfortably to be honest, it's coming down nicely.”
