ST JOSEPH’S Andrew Selby is to challenge Jake Bornea of the Philippines for the vacant IBF inter-continental flyweight title at Wembley Arena on November 18.
For British champion Selby, from Barry, it will be his second outing in four weeks after a fifth-round stoppage of Nicaragua’s Felix Moncada in a non-title fight.
While Selby, 27, unbeaten in six professional bouts, 21-year-old Bornea, the WBO Asia Pacific Youth flyweight champion, has lost just one of 12 contests.
Bornea made his pro debut at the age of 18 but has never fought outside his home country.
The Selby-Bornea clash takes place on the undercard of George Groves’ second defence of his WBA international super-middleweight title against Eduard Gutknecht.
The Cyclone Promotions show will be shown live on Channel 5.
