FORMER Commonwealth champion Bradley Pryce has announced his retirement from boxing tonight after suffering defeat in his 60th professional fight.
The 35-year-old from Newport took to Twitter after a fourth-round stoppage at the hands of unbeaten Zach Parker in Preston to write “I’m done, time to end my career”.

Pryce added that problems with his eyes meant he wouldn’t be able to pass a medical to continue in the sport.
Speaking to the South Wales Argus before his milestone super-middleweight clash with Parker, Pryce said he had no intention to retire and was hoping to get back in the mix for titles.
Pryce made his debut in 1999 and won 38 of his 60 professional fights, the highlight coming in March 2006 when he took the Commonwealth light-middleweight crown off Ossie Duran in Newport.
He defended his crown six times before losing it to Matthew Hall in Manchester, almost exactly three years after beating Duran.
Four unsuccessful title fights followed, with the last one a points defeat to Luke Keeler in Dublin for the vacant BUI Celtic Nations super-middleweight belt.
