ST JOSEPH'S star Andrew Selby has won the WBC international flyweight title thanks to a unanimous points victory over champion Ardin Diale.
The 28-year-old Barry-born boxer, who trains at St Joes in Newport with Tony Borg, comfortably won the 10-round contest 100-90 according to all three judges at the London Olympia.
Selby, who has already won British and IBF intercontinental titles, told ITV: "The plan was not to take him out, I had to box.
"The plan was to hit and move. It was strictly about winning the belt. I did move a lot.
"My aim was to get the win. I want to have a long career."
