GWENT fighters go for glory tonight when Cardiff hosts the Welsh ABA Championships.

Blackwood’s Kody Davies (Pantside ABC) has a third senior title in his sights when he faces Pontypool ABC’s David Walker in a repeat of the 91kg final from 2015.

Davies, who recently left the GB Boxing set-up in Sheffield, would love to regain his crown in the capital.

Walker’s clubmate, the multi-talented Lauren Price, meets Gemma Peglar (Warehouse ABC) for the women’s 75kg title.

A kickboxing world champion and Wales footballer, Price was the first Welsh woman to win a Commonwealth Games boxing medal.

At 57kg, Chloe Thomas of Torfaen Warriors ABC takes on Port Talbot’s Tamlyn Williams.

Coached by Simon Weaver, Thomas goes into the fight after being named in a GB Boxing development squad.

Finally, Helen Jones (Portmead ABC) is the opponent for Cwmcarn ABC’s Katie Tinklin at 54kg.
