IT has been a few weeks since my last column for the South Wales Argus and as ever, there is plenty to talk about in boxing.

THIS will be my final column of 2009 and I guess in a lot of ways I will remember this year as being a bit of a strange one for me, my first for nearly three decades where I wasn’t involved in boxing – as a fighter at least.

WELL, it’s been an interesting couple of weeks for my former foes, with my final three opponents, Mikkel Kessler, Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins all in action with severely contrasting fortunes.

IT’S back to the boxing for me then! No more talk of the waltz, Craig Revel Whatshisface or nerves on the night, because my Strictly Come Dancing experience has come to an end.

THOUGH at the moment my life is less about boxing and more about foxtrotting, there is just so much going on in the sport I love it’s impossible not to talk about it.

I AM extremely excited by some of the boxing coming up in the UK, starting this weekend and watching it will cap off what has been an excellent couple of weeks for me.
