CHEPSTOW handler Ron Harris launches a four pronged attack on today's big prize money pot at Goodwood.

Noverre To Go, Secret Witness, Prodigality, Vincentti and the man himself will be aboard the horsebox by 7am for the three hour journey to West Sussex.

A few owners in tow dressed in their finery will be unusually hoping for a shower or two, as three of their equine representatives don’t want the ground rattling hard.

First up at 2.05 is Noverre To Go, the female piloted 7-year-old and the only Harris raider who prefers it fast.

“Racy who is in the Stewards’ Cup beat him in a claimer and we were off top weight, it was a good performance. He’s won a few races for us. He goes in the stalls as late as possible or he gets worked up,” said the trainer.

The big handicap is at 3.50 for Secret Witness and Prodigality, drawn four boxes away from each other in 13 and 9.

Sandwiched between them in 11 is their Chepstow neighbour Regal Parade, from Milton Bradley's stable.

The trainer told this column last week the old boy is capable on his day on ground good or slower.

He ran well in the Skybet Dash last week when it was too lively, coming 11th.

But Harris' Prodigality did even better in fourth and he has threatened to win a big one despite being at the weight receiving end from the handicapper.

“Prodigality is well worthy of his chance in this race," said Gwent’s Harris.

“He ran a massive race last time. Secret Witness has been disappointing and it’s down to the ground, he wants it good, good to soft. Both are not far off top weight, they are very special handicappers.”

Vincentti brings the curtain down on the prestigious meeting in the 5.35.

While it may be a bit late in the day to get rolling, Harris believes the 3-year-old may be his best chance.

He said: “I’m looking forward to it on ground that would suit him. If he runs anything like first time out behind Moviesta I would think he'd go very well. You can draw a line under last time as the ground was too quick.”
