BATSMAN Will Bragg believes Glamorgan's form with the white ball will give them the confidence to thrive in all forms of the game, writes Chris Kirwan.

The left-hander from Cwmbran top scored with 75 off 68 balls in Monday's excellent Royal London One-Day Cup win against Gloucestershire in Cardiff.

They welcome Sussex Sharks to the capital today (WED) (2pm start) before taking on Gloucestershire again in the NatWest T20 Blast in Bristol on Friday.

Bragg has made a fine start to the championship season with two tons (including a career best unbeaten 161) and three half-centuries but the team hasn't fired with three draws and three defeats in Division Two.

However, the 29-year-old is hopeful that their white ball exploits will also transfer to the four-day game.

Bragg, who has not been part of the T20 side, said: "Things are starting to come together now. Our championship form wasn't what we'd like it to be but hopefully now we can get some momentum from the one-day cricket.

"Sussex are a pretty good one-day outfit so hopefully if we can emulate what we've done (against Gloucestershire), the boys will be over the moon."

Bragg laid the foundations against the men from the West Country on Monday but he was quick to praise the performance of the bowlers in helping defend their 289.

"I was disappointed to not get a hundred, but we bat quite deep so the plan was to up the run rate as soon as I got in," said Bragg, who was bowled going for a reverse sweep.

"It was a competitive total. We shot ourselves in the foot when we lost four wickets in the middle period and it could have gone horribly wrong, but the bowlers have done their jobs."
