STADE Francais' focus may be on a Top 14 title challenge but their cast of international backs means that there is no change of Newport Gwent Dragons taking them lightly at Rodney Parade.

The Parisians, who are joint top of their domestic league, haven't registered star forwards Sergio Parisse, Pascal Pape, Heinke Van der Merwe and Rabah Slimani in their European Rugby Challenge Cup squad.

However, they will still boast plenty of talent in their ranks as they attempt to avenge their October home loss to the Dragons, who have already topped Pool Three.

Last weekend against Bucharest they fielded a back three containing Samoa full-back Paul Williams, Australia wing Digby Ioane and French speedster Djibril Camara, brought international half-backs Julien Dupuy and Morne Steyn off the bench while former New Zealand rugby league powerhouse Krisnan Inu was not required.

The Dragons are the only side to have beaten Stade in Paris this season and centre Tyler Morgan knows that another strong display is needed to do a double.

"It will be a hell of a game because Ioane is one of the most powerful runners in world rugby and Steyn at 10 controls things really well," he said.

"Stade can be flamboyant but they can also be direct with the pack that they have, carrying hard all over the field.

"We have to earn the right to play wide and cause them to tighten up before we try and go around them."

The Dragons have already secured a quarter-final spot as Pool Three winners courtesy of their terrific 40-29 win in Newcastle last weekend.

However, if Edinburgh beat Bordeaux-Begles with a bonus point tonight then they will need to ensure they get something out of their game to earn a Rodney Parade tie in the last eight.

"We've qualified but a home-quarter final is really important because the crowd behind us would carry us through," said Morgan.

"We had a very good performance out in Paris against a team that were the favourites for the tournament and also against a very good Newcastle side.

"It's frustrating that we are not repeating our European form week in, week out in the Guinness Pro12 so we have to improve our consistency."
