Dragons young guns on way to Bedwas

BEDWAS have signed a core of seasoned campaigners to help with the development of a host of Newport Gwent Dragons academy prospects.

The Dragons have assigned full-back Hallam Amos and centre Jack Dixon, who made their full regional debuts last season, to Bridge Field.

They will be joined at Bedwas by academy wing Lewis Hudd, fly-half Ethan Davies, prop Dan Goode, lock Derryn Jones, hooker Elliott Dee and back row James Benjamin.

That youth is mixed with Premiership experience with nine new signings so far confirmed, eight of which plied their trade in the top flight last term.

Back row forward James Thomas and wing Ryan Owen arrive from Gwent rivals Pontypool, lock Kyle Maiden is heading east from Bridgend while five players have signed from Cardiff, props Kristian Gay and Dan Preece, lock Chris Bundy, scrum-half Tom Rowlands and centre Matthew John. Gavin Close has also been snapped up after impressing with Division Two East’s Rhydyfelin. The former Pontypridd wing scored 23 tries in 20 games last season.

The judge in the Pooler case stated that no clubs could sign any Pooler players and no Development players could be asigned to other Clubs until the case has been heard. What are the Dragons playing at? It won't be long now before we know if the case is going to Court. It will beva travisty if it does not

The judge said no such thing as those players who have signed to other clubs have nothing to do with Pontypool RFC they are Dragons academy players and not Pontypool's. As for the Pomtypool players who have moved perhaps they were at the end of thier registration with Pontypool and therefore free to move to wherever they wished. The universe does not revolve around Pontypool and life goes on, pity they can't get enough money pledged to take thier case forward or so it seems.

What club do you support Mr Shillabeer, you seem to have alot to say about Pontypool, what's your issue and more so what has it got to do with you? Why do you continuously feel the need to stick the boot in? The word callous comes to mind! People like you continue to be detrimental to regional rugby ever taking off, your gestures are empty and just aimed at drawing attention to Pontypools demise! Get a life!

May I suggest you read the judges comments and you will find I am right. And it has been announced that the case will go to Court on Monday, so it will be interesting how the WRU react!!!
