Jones to skipper Dragons against Irish

HOOKER Steve Jones will lead Newport Gwent Dragons against London Irish at Rodney Parade in the absence of captain Lewis Evans.

Flanker Evans and Wales wing Will Harries will not be risked in Friday’s friendly but are expected to be fit for the RaboDirect Pro12 opener against Zebre on August 31.

Hooker Jones led the Dragons in last Friday’s 40-3 loss to Biarritz while Bedwas wing/ centre Ross Wardle is once again included after impressing up against speedster Takudzwa Ngwenya in the south of France last week.

After years of paying a fortune to watch NGD I agree with the previous posts. I for one am not renewing my season ticket. Sad times because I love rugby but constantly finishing below the other 3 welsh teams is enough for me.
