NEWPORT County AFC sealed a new two-year deal to use Cardiff University's sporting facilities as their training base with a practice match against the university's first team this morning.
The match was arranged as part of the deal and saw County field a team including several first-team players along side a number of youth team members.
County ran out 8-0 winners with goals from youth players Myrian Khan (4), Spencer Wood and Rhys James. First teamers Lee Minshull, keeping match fit while serving a three-game ban, and Ryan Jackson also hit the back of the net for County.
