Nathan Ceretti, Adam Whitcombe, Matthew Cameron and Craig Fairclough scored for United.

AC Pontymister continued their hundred per cent record in the Premier Y with a 2-0 win away to Spencer Boys Club. Gavin Thomas got both goals.

Seven goals from Roy Bennett (3), Leo Ross, Conor Yeates, Robert Millar and Ellis Abdie gave Pill AFC a 7-2 win away to Newport Corinthians.

Lliswerry and Albion Rovers shared the points in a 2-2 draw at Lliswerry School.

Two other draws in this division saw Marshfield and Coed Eva Atheltico end one a piece and Cromwell Youth and Cwmbran Celtic draw 3-3.

Trethomas bluebirds gained their first win of the season with a 3-1 win at home to Lucas Cwmbran. James Synes, Craig Colwill and Michael Jenkins got the goals. Cwmbran Town suffered their fifth defeat on the trot, going down 7-0 to Malpas United. Simon Barnard, Steve Spooner (2), Ryan Havard and Phil Ricci (3) scored for Malpas.

Whatever AC Pontymister can do in the Premier Y, their second side can do in Division One.

Pontymister went to the top of the table after a 1-1 draw with Pioneer.

Rogerstone moved into third position after a 6-1 win away at Ponthir, their goals coming from Mark Goodfellow, Jon Granham and Ryan Davy (4).

Shaftesbury Youth won 6-2 at home to Crosskeys.

FC Rileys won 8-3 at home to Cromwell Youth to move into third place. Second placed Docks Cons won 7- 4 away to Pontnewydd United, the seven goals coming from Terry Barry (4), Ryan Edwards and Thomas Ingles (2).

Only three games were played in Division Three due to the Cwmbran Fete.

Racing Club Newport gained an 8-0 win over Rogerstone, with goals from Dave Cooke, Lloyd Wells and six from Kurtis Sanders.

Pill AFC made it a winning treble for the Pill club with a 7-2 win against Newport Eagles. Gareth Cueto, Deiniol Parselle, Kory Roche (2), Connor Young (2) and Makuisa Mbanzu scored.

AC Pontymister kept the pressure on the leaders with a 4-2 win away at Ponthir. Their four goals came from Rhys Jeffery, Luke Phasey, Rob Kelso, plus an own goal.

The Docks Cons head the Sunday League after gaining a 2-2 draw away to Real Bettws.

Ten goals from Jordan Westerberg (4), Craig Thomas (3), Andrew Wright (2) and Jonathan Appleton gave Pavillions a 10-2 win against league newcomers RMS Llanwern United.

The local derby between Rogerstone United and St Julians OB ended with a 5-2 win for Rogerstone. Jason Carter, Gareth Thomas (2) and Luke Davies (2) got the goals.
