SHAUN Jeffers is set to start for Newport County AFC in tomorrow's League Two clash with Stevenage at Rodney Parade with fellow striker Chris Zebroski suspended.

Zebroski picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the eighth minute of added on time in the 3-2 victory at Carlisle on November 29 and is therefore banned for one game.

Jeffers scored County's third goal in the 92nd minute at Brunton Park after coming off the bench to replace Aaron O'Connor.

And he is set to partner O'Connor tomorrow as the Exiles play their first home match since the 2-2 draw with Exeter City on November 16.

Manager Justin Edinburgh has been impressed with Jeffers since his return from a loan spell at Brackley Town.

"Shaun's attitude has been spot on and with Chris suspended he deserves his chance," said the Exiles boss.

Rene Howe and Danny Crow are also available after injury having played in a reserve game at Portsmouth in midweek.

But the game may come too soon for Mike Flynn and the Exiles will definitely be without Christian Jolley (ankle), Kevin Feely (broken finger) and long-term absentee Robbie Willmott (foot).
