NEWPORT County AFC manager Graham Westley expects to make two new signings today and he’s also hopeful of concluding two more before Saturday’s trip to Stevenage.

Westley has already signed strikers Aaron Williams and Jaanai Gordon and defender Sid Nelson this week.

Eastleigh boss Martin Allen has also revealed that former County captain David Pipe is heading back to Rodney Parade on loan, although that deal has not been confirmed by the Exiles.

And Westley says there are likely to be several players making their debuts for League Two’s bottom club this weekend.

“There will be a couple of lads arriving today and perhaps another couple before the weekend, although whether we can get it all done or not is another thing,” said the Exiles boss, whose side has lost seven on the bounce in the league.

“We’re looking to have several debutants on the pitch at the weekend.”

Westley added: “We’ve had a horrible run of results and it’s time for us to snap out of that now, leave all that behind and move on.

“We’ve been busy in the market this week and we’ll be busy again before the weekend making sure that we give ourselves a different set of ingredients to start working with in the second half of the season.”
