NEWPORT County AFC have announced that Mr Tom will once again be the main club sponsor for the 2017-2018 season.

This will be the fourth season that peanut-based confectionary company Mr Tom has been the main club sponsor as Newport County AFC once again look to provide supporters with a pro-active sponsorship deal through the 'Nuts About County' Twitter and Facebook pages.

Mr Tom has been in the UK market for a number of years, producing a variety of peanut crunch bars.

With offices in Newport and three years of a successful partnership with the Exiles, they have decided to continue showing their support for the city's football club by signing up for the 2017-2018 season.

County's commercial manager James Watts said: “We are delighted to have secured Mr Tom for another season as a high-profile brand on our shirts that also has Newport connections.

"It is an excellent deal for the club and a measure of how far we have come that we are able to keep such lucrative deals with an international company.

"We look forward to working with Mr Tom for another season as we know they will continue to be active and innovative sponsors and I am sure our supporters will be glad to see that they have renewed their sponsorship with the club.”

Richard Williams, Mr Tom UK director, said: “Mr Tom are delighted to have agreed the main sponsorship for the 2017-2018 season.

"Over the past few years our business relationship with Newport County AFC has gone from strength to strength and the Mr Tom brand continues to grow nationally.

"We would like to wish Mike, players and staff the very best of luck for the season ahead."
