NEWPORT County AFC star Robbie Willmott has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for January.
The award citation describes Willmott as having "held his own goal of the month competition with stunning efforts in the wins over Exeter and Grimsby."
It continues: "As well as beating defenders for pace, he used his crossing ability to good effect at corners and with a delightful assist against Crawley."
Willmott also put in a man-of-the-match performance against Leeds United and created Padraig Amond's goal against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup last month but only league matches count towards this award.
The Exiles ace is up against Enzio Boldewijn of Crawley Town), Billy Kee of Accrington Stanley and Marc McNulty of Coventry City.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL trader Mikey Mumford.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
