THE Football Association of Wales has announced that Chris Coleman's Wales side will play a friendly international at the Amsterdam Arena against the Netherlands on Wednesday, June 4.

This will be a final preparation match for the Netherlands before they go to Brazil for the summer's FIFA World Cup.

The last meeting between the two sides came in similar circumstances in June 2008 when the sides met in Rotterdam at the Feijenoord Stadium. The Netherlands won that game 2-0.

Wales manager Coleman is delighted with the opportunity of playing such high-ranking opponents: "I could not ask for a better game for my squad at the end of the season," he said.

"Everyone knows and respects the Dutch style of play and this will give us a great opportunity to measure ourselves against one of the top sides - not only in Europe - but the world."
