GARETH BALE insists Wales’ “fantastic,” crowd need to raise the roof again on Monday against Cyprus.

The Dragons are in unfamiliar territory after Friday’s battling 0-0 draw with Bosnia, top of Euro 2016 qualifying group B after two games and with a chance to power to seven points against the Cypriots.

A nip and tuck affair at the Cardiff City stadium could have gone either way and Bale admits the game was particular memorable thanks to a home crowd that topped 30,000.

“We want to win every game, we wanted to win tonight but a draw against the top seeds in the group is a very good result,” he said.

“The crowd were absolutely amazing, I can’t even describe in words how good they are and it isn’t something we’ve generally experienced a lot in my time with Wales.

“It’s fair to say that maybe a year ago we would have lost that game but we’ve got something to give us confidence, if we keep performing like that I think we can go a long way.

“We want the fans there with us, they intimidate the opposition players and sometimes the referee with his decision making, so we want to turn Cardiff into a fortress.

“It’s one of the biggest crowds I’ve played for with Wales in a smaller stadium and it was electric, they lifted us but we feel stronger, we’ve got good players who have been together for a long time.”

Bale feels there are many positives to take into Monday’s vital showdown with Cyprus.

“We go into the Cyprus game knowing we need to focus and concentrate and pick up the three points, but we are full of confidence,” he explained.

“We have great belief as a group, we feel like with a big crowd behind us in Cardiff we can do anything and we didn’t leave anything on the pitch on Friday.

“We’ve started brightly and cut out the mistakes and we’ve given ourselves plenty to build on with a good result that gives us plenty of confidence.

“It was a physical battle but that’s football and we expected it, but we’ve shown our strengths by starting and finishing the game so strongly against a top Bosnia side.

“In the last ten minutes we could’ve nicked it and we give the fans plenty of credit for our result as well. Friday was a true test for us with our injuries and I think we came through it with flying colours.”
