Woking v County postponed

NEWPORT County's Conference clash at Woking this evening has been postponed less than an hour before kick-off.

Woking had said earlier today that the pitch at Kingfield Stadium was clear of snow and that there was no need for a pitch inspection.

However, with snow getting heavier tonight - as was forecast - the referee deemed at 7pm that the surface was not playable, rendering the 240-mile journey made by the Exiles and their fans pointless.

County had been hoping to get back on track following their shock weekend loss to Barrow and three points at Woking would have taken them back to the top of the table.

The Exiles are next in action against Braintree at Rodney Parade on Tuesday evening.

The Argus may net e the best paper around but they have no influence on the state of the pitch so it's not thier fault the game was off, numpty.

Look on the bright side. It gives J.E. time to find 2 defenders and 2 midfielders.

I agree with Countyvoice above. I access this jerky website to read the comments and comment myself where necessary on "The County." I am not interested in "Country Cottages, Domino Pizzas nor Dating or any of the other crowded rubbish that intrudes on this site. I am also fed up about being constantly reminded about cookies! Plus can someone remove the annoying irrelevant videos that infest this site as well.It all looks cheap and nasty. Please treat us like intelligent people.

Hope we get some news regarding signings soon as the end of the month is rapidly approaching. As I've mentioned before 1goal for and 8 against in the last 3 home games is serious cause for concern. I don't think we've kept a clean sheet since October!!

We arrived in Woking around 7pm & received a text saying it was off, in fairness it was absolutely chucking it down with snow, nobody is too blame, nobody can control the weather, fair play to their volunteers who worked hard too try & get the game played.

i would use services of some of the adverts county mad, but i can never get the page to slow down quick enough to click on it.

in the age of website redesigning to make things easier for the end user, it doesnt ask for much to have a website that is user friendly and better organised

that in itself would attract new contributors and more advertising revenue,

at the moment it is pretty poor
