Gateshead v County postponed again

5:13pm Wednesday 20th March 2013 in Newport County

TOMORROW night's Blue Square Bet Premier clash between Gateshead and Newport County AFC at York has been postponed once again.

A statement on the County website reads: "Following a pitch inspection, tomorrow evening's match against Gateshead FC due to be played at York City's Bootham Crescent ground has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

"We will announce the date of the rescheduled match and information for supporters as soon as confirmed.

"Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our supporters who were due to make the trip to York."

SACRE BLUE!,

not again , how many more times has this fixture got to be postponed.

the season has only got about 3 weeks left are county going to have to play 7 games in a week.

the whole scenario is turning into a farce.

why didnt someone forsee this in general AT THE START of the season and play the trophy finals at the MILLENIUM STADIUM.

defies believe.....but any way hard luck last night county on another night it could have been 5-1

several times i was on the edge of my seat with tim thraves commentary .

"its jolley, its jolley", gasp with anticipation" "oh no hes missed."

another night he could have had a hat trick.

KEEP THE SPIRIT COUNTY THE PLAY OFFS I WOULD SAY ARE A CERTAINTY

No need for a ground the size of Wembley or the MS really. Villa Park would be plenty big enough. There are a million and one places the final could be played, the Conference are probably just too bone idle to change their plans, but surely they need to act,

Unless they are going to make Gateshead forfeit the game (which I can't see), they surely have to extend the season?

Gateshead vs Newport County match due to be played at York City has been postponed for the umpteenth time. The match will now be played in Barbados sometime in July. lol

I thought it would have been postponed due to snow. Anyway it would have been a terrible trip up to york with ice on the roads etc. Its tough but we have to admit that we can't help the weather, its as bad for Gateshead as well as County. God knows how this can be sorted but no words from the F.A.
