Bury 0 County 0
NEWPORT County AFC drew a blank for the first time in League Two as they were held to a goalless draw at Bury.
The hosts dominated a dour first half but were let down by a poor final ball time and again.
County boss Justin Edinburgh switched to 4-3-3 after the break with Chris Zebroski replacing Tony James and the result was a much more open game.
Both sides had chances to win it and again the Shakers were on top but they couldn't find their way past Lenny Pidgeley in the County goal.
Edinburgh was happy with the draw that leaves his side in ninth place, just a point off the play-off positions.
"I'm very pleased with the clean sheet," said the Exiles boss.
"Fair play to Bury they had a real good tempo about them and we found it hard to get a foothold in the game.
"But I made some changes at half time and I thought we had a better shape and purpose about us second half. We're delighted with the point. Any point away from home is a good one."
