NEWPORT County AFC have launched a new-look website.

In common with most Football League clubs, County will be joining the Football League Interactive platform, which will provide the club and the supporters, with a "modern, attractive and massively improved website, with lots of new and innovative features," said a club statement.

The site which can be found on the usual www.newport-county.co.uk address.

Club chief executive Dave Boddy, who has been instrumental in the change, said: “This is another important day in the off field development of Newport County AFC.

"The website from the supporters perspective will be a much better experience and information delivering tool for our supporters.

"From the club’s point of view, there are far greater revenue generating opportunities and the move will significantly increase our income over the next 12 months.

"Also, with the pace at which technology is moving on and the massive investment that the Football League is putting into its digital platforms, it is important that we are involved with it.

"I first investigated the possibility of joining the FLi platform shortly after I joined the club and would have done so even if we had remained in the Conference. However, promotion has made the process a lot easier and quicker, and I think we have joined the platform quicker than any previously promoted club, which is testament to a lot of hard work from a lot of people behind the scenes.

"We also intend to improve both the quality and quantity of the content within the new site and this is a process that we have started over the last six months or so.

"On behalf of the club, I would also like to say a big thank you to Darren Williams of Phoenix web design. Darren, who is a great supporter of the club, diligently designed and hosted the old site and has played a major part in delivering the hand over to the new site.”
