NEWPORT County AFC have revealed their new kit and new sponsor for the 2014/15 season - Mr Tom peanut bars.

A statement released tonight reads: "Newport County AFC are thrilled to announce a new club sponsorship deal with Mr. Tom Peanut Crunch. In what is an exciting deal, the new main sponsors for the 2014-15 season will champion a more pro-active relationship with the fans and supporters.

"The initial one year agreement with Mr. Tom marks yet another record for the club, surpassing last season’s record breaking deal with 32Red.

"Mr. Tom has been in the UK market for decades providing the insanely moreish peanut crunch bar to a growing fan base.

"Operating out of Newport and enjoying years of success, they decided to prove just how nuts about the County they are by investing and giving something back."

County chief executive Dave Boddy said: “We are delighted to have secured another high profile brand on our shirts, that also has Newport connections.

"It is an excellent deal for the club and a measure of how far we have come that we are able to attract such a lucrative deal with another international company.

"We look forward to working with Mr. Tom who will be active and innovative sponsors and I am sure our supporters will enjoy some of the initiatives they are proposing.”

The news was announced shortly before tonight’s fans’ forum at Rodney Parade where O’Connor and Jolley modelled the new kits.

Director Howard Greenhaf revealed during the question and answer session with fans that work to complete the drainage on the troublesome Rodney Parade surface will begin on May 12.
