NEWPORT County AFC move into the League Two play-off places after a fine 3-2 win at Carlisle United.

Midfielder Yan Klukowski headed the Exiles into a ninth-minute lead with his third goal in four games.

And defender Ismail Yakubu doubled the lead two minutes into the second half.

Brad Potts pulled one back for the hosts on 52 minutes but Justin Edinburgh's men held firm and substitute Shaun Jeffers clinched the points with a third goal in stoppage-time. 

David Amoo added another for the hosts in the 97th minute but County held on for a second successive win on the road that lifts them to seventh in the table.
