County fans raise £37,000 towards Trust target of £195,000
NEWPORT County AFC Supporters Trust has announced that fans have so far raised £37,000 towards the takeover target of £195,000.
The initial target announced at the share offer launch last week was £225,000 but the sale of 17-year-old Regan Poole to Manchester United on Tuesday brought that down to £195,000.
In a statement released this morning the Trust said: "It has been a week since our share offer launch and we are delighted to announce that the contributions currently sit at £37,000.
"This is a fantastic start and the trust is overwhelmed by the generosity of people and continued support."
