GOALKEEPER Rhys Taylor has joined Welsh rivals Wrexham on loan from Newport County AFC.
The former Chelsea stopper, signed from Macclesfield Town by former manager Terry Butcher in the summer, joins the Conference side until January.
Taylor has made just one appearance in a competitive game for the Exiles – in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat to Swindon Town in September.
The 25-year-old will link up with the Wrexham squad at training today, ahead of their fixture against Barrow at the Racecourse on Saturday.
Exiles boss John Sheridan said: “He is too good to be sitting on the bench and not playing football.
“Financially it enables me to help build in other areas and I think that Rhys is too good to be a number two.
“I have had a chat with Rhys and he is all for the move.”
