NEWPORT County AFC have announced that Cardiff City players Tommy O'Sullivan and Jazzi Barnum-Bobb will remain at Rodney Parade until January.

A statement from the club reads: "Newport County AFC are pleased to announce the extension of the loan agreements for Cardiff duo Jazzi Barnum-Bobb and Tommy O’Sullivan.

"Both Tommy and Jazzi joined the club on one-‐month loan deals in October and have started all four games during that period, which included our memorable 4-‐1 victory in the Severnside derby, where Tommy completed the scoring with his first professional league goal.

"The extension to the loan deals will see both players eligible to participate in our Emirates FA Cup Tie at Brackley Town on Sunday."

Speaking after his loan extension had been confirmed, O'Sullivan told the club website: “I am happy here, I’m playing games on a regular basis and enjoying it.

“It was nice to get my first senior goal and I was just happy to see it go into the back of the net.

“I went into Cardiff in the week and they were all saying well done to me, so now my aim is to keep it going.

“I just want to play as much as I can now up until January, and hopefully score a few more goals!”

Barnum-Bobb said: “I came here to do well in the initial month that I was here and get as many games as I could, this extension is another chance for me to get more games, which is exactly what I want.

“I think it is a perfect fit with Cardiff and Newport being so close.

"People can come down to watch and that is always a good incentive for me, knowing that there is always going to be people from Cardiff observing me and that spurs me on to do even better.

“The system we play really suits me, in the wing-‐back role you have to cover a lot of ground during the game and hopefully I can carry on doing well in that position”.

On the prospect of making his debut in the FA Cup this weekend, Barnum-Bobb added: “I am excited, it’s a competition I have never played in.

"I have made appearances in the League Cup, but never the FA Cup.

“The FA Cup is the more traditional competition and hopefully we can get a win on Sunday and then see how far we can go.”

The extended loan deals will see both players remain at Rodney Parade up to and including the Exiles home clash with Hartlepool United on Saturday, January 2.
