FORMER Newport County AFC midfielder Yan Klukowski has joined National League outfit York City on a two-year deal.
Klukowski, 29, was released by Exiles boss Warren Feeney at the end of last season following a disappointing season in League Two.
He scored eight goals in 73 games for County in his two years at Rodney Parade, having moved to Wales from Forest Green Rovers in May 2014.
Starting his career at Chippenham, Klukowski had a 14-match spell with Bath City and then spent four years playing football in the USA.
On his return, the midfielder had trials for Carlisle and Swindon, re-joined Chippenham, switched to Larkhall Athletic, and then joined Forest Green in 2010.
He featured 161 times for Forest Green and netted 49 league goals.
York were relegated from League Two last season after finishing bottom of the table.
