NEWPORT County today revealed that city-based company Henry Howard Finance and local charity St David’s Hospice will feature on the club’s first-team kit next season.

The former has been a valuable sponsor of the Exiles over recent campaigns and their name will appear on the back of the team’s shorts.

Managing director Mark Crook said: “I’m delighted to continue our long relationship with the club.

“We have sponsored the club over recent seasons, through both the highs and lows since returning to the Football League.

“Shaun Johnson and Gavin Foxall met with me and outlined the board’s plans for the club and the fresh ideas they have for the club to progress which reignited my desire to commit to another season.

“I’m also looking forward to working with Michael Flynn and the commercial team over the season to strengthen our links with Newport County AFC.”

Flynn, the club's football and business development director, added: “We are delighted to welcome Henry Howard Finance to continue the launch of this year’s home kit.

“We would like to thank Henry Howard Finance for continuing to support the club and look forward to progressing the relationship with the company over the season.”

St David’s Hospice will feature on the back of the team’s home shirts after they came out on top in a fan vote set up to give a charity a unique opportunity for exposure.

“I think having our logo on the shirts will be a huge help to us in allowing the charity to get the logo recognised nationally,” said charity representative Gemma Carter.

“With the shirts being on display on television and on video games it will help spread the work of the charity to a global audience, which will be a huge benefit to promote the work we do.”

Flynn said: “By welcoming St David's as a charity partner it symbolises how important the local community is to the club and we are excited to help support St David's in their charity efforts in and around Newport.”

This season’s kit will be on sale in the club shop towards the end of July and anyone interested in commercial opportunities should ring commercial manager James Watts on 01633 670690 or email james@newport-county.co.uk
