NEWPORT County AFC manager Graham Westley has revealed that defender Jamie Turley is recovering after an operion on his injured knee.

The centre-back, who can also play at right-back, joined the Exiles from non-league Eastleigh in the summer.

Turley made seven appearances under Warren Feeney but has not played since the defeat at Doncaster Rovers on September 17.

"Jamie had an operation on his knee and he’s in rehab after that operation," said Westley.

"It’s something that had been hanging around for a while, something that everyone had been hoping would cure itself.

"It didn’t and he had a small surgical operation so he’s on the road to recovery."
