NEWPORT County AFC hope to welcome back Sean Rigg to the attack for tomorrow's crucial clash with Yeovil Town at Rodney Parade (kick-off 3pm).

Rigg, who has scored six goals in an injury-hit season, missed last week's 1-0 win at Exeter City due to injury.

“Sean hurt his ankle and we thought it would be alright, said caretaker manager Michael Flynn after that match. "He tried it but it wasn’t quite right so we didn’t want to risk it.

"I’m hoping he’ll be back for Friday, which is a big boost.”

And, asked today if Rigg was on course to feature against the Glovers, Flynn added: "I hope so, we’ll assess him.

"The boys who played on Saturday put in a good shift and a lot of them deserve to keep their place but there might be one or two changes.

"Ben Tozer has got a bad knee but Jamie Turley is back in training," he added. "Obviously he’s not up for selection yet – he needs some more sessions and a reserve game – but it’s nice to see him back."
