Leamington 1 County 1
DEAN Holdsworth was denied his first victory as Newport County boss by an 89th minute equaliser at the New Windmill ground this afternoon.
The Exiles took the lead right on half-time after a bright opening period when a David Collins free-kick was headed goalwards by Craig Hughes before being deflected into his own net by home defender Adam Cooper.
Former Cardiff man Kevin Cooper impressed on his debut for County who also fielded triallists Anthony Church, Leon Fisher and Jamaican World Cup star Paul Hall.
But all the good work was undone when Leamington's Guy Sanders headed powerfully past Glyn Thompson to level the scores iright at the death.
