NEWPORT County skipper Aaron Cook has been named in the Blue Square South All Stars side.

The central defender, signed from Salisbury City, is the only player to make the side who doesn’t play for a club who were in the top five of the Conference South.

The accolade comes after Cook was voted in by managers from the Blue Square South.

The awards were filmed and are set to be screened on Setanta Sports this Friday.

Furthermore, the composition for the Blue Square South has been confirmed for next season with newly promoted Gloucester sent to the Conference North. County remain in the Blue Square South.
