COACHING COURSES Please find enclosed a list of updated Coach Education Courses in Newport. Fill in and return to James - FDO. Don't forget that all personnel at your club must have these qualifications to run football sides. If you are in doubt please contact James or myself.

GIRLS FOOTBALL Once again I must remind you of this. Please find enclosed copy of letter from GC confirming this, for those of you who do not seem to believe.

If any teams have girls playing for them could you please ensure that these girls are also training and playing with the Newport Girls League. We are not stopping them playing with the boys at present but they must also show a commitment to the girls league. Contact me if you wish to know the closest club for them to contact. I have passed this information on in a previous newsletter but is seems that most clubs out there have ignored this. The girl's leagues age groups are under 14's and under 11's. Under 11's are 9, 10 and 11 year olds.

WEB SITES I must bring to your attention that under no circumstances must any mini football match results be shown on any web site. Any clubs found doing this in the future will be reported to the Gwent County Football Association.

MATCH REPORTS Please remember that match reports must be submitted for all (even postponed ones) games except when the Parks Department call off all pitches.

GOAL AREAS Can we please remind people that no spectators are allowed to stand alongside or behind the goals in a competitive game of football. If seen you will be asked by the referee, who has the right, to ask you to move. Please don't make their job any harder than it all ready is.

TEAM SHEETS Could all mangers please make sure that team sheets are taken to all games, both competitive and mini matches. These are needed to do licence checks.

LICENCES Are now available from Steve Brooks. He advises us that he is currently up to date with licensing so you should not have to wait long for their return. There will be no excuse if you don't have a licence at a game or show the licence numbers on your match reports. Could you please send Anthony Watts a copy of your team sheets showing the new licence numbers for him to get his records up to date.

WORKSHOP At the last meeting held with James FDO he offered all clubs a Coach Education Club Workshop. These workshops are free, all that is asked of the club is that, there is a facility available with a group of 16 players who can take part in the session. These are to commence in the new year but you need to book your date with James now. These workshops will be very beneficial to all clubs.

RULES We are aware that GC this season did not send out handbooks to all clubs. However, full copies of their rules are available on their website which is www.gwentcountyfa.co.uk Secretaries old and new, please ensure that a copy of this newsletter is given to all your mangers and coaches.
