NEWPORT-BORN Emma Thomas helped Wales to maintain their 100 per cent record with a third straight win at the Netball World Cup in Sydney.
Goal attack Thomas hit all 14 of her shots during the game and saw Wales to a 49-47 victory over Uganda this morning.
Trish Wilcox's side now advance to a First Eight next pool to play hosts Australia, England and South Africa.
Wales were in front until the third quarter, when Uganda took a 39-35 lead.
But a faultless shooting display in the final period by Chelsea Lewis and Thomas turned the match in Wales' favour.
Uganda also qualify as runners-up and in the next round will face New Zealand, Malawi and the winners of today's later game between Scotland and Jamaica.
Wales opened the competition with a 59-52 win over Fiji on Friday before seeing off Zambia 71-44 yesterday, when Caerleon's Georgia Rowe shot 12 goals from 12 attempts.
