GWENT pair Mark Williams and Lee Walker have both seen their challenge for the Yushan World Open ended in China.
Cwm potter Williams, who beat fellow Welshman Matthew Stevens, home favourite Chen Zhe and England’s Jimmy Robertson, was beaten in the quarter-finals today.
The 42-year-old lost 5-1 to England’s Kyren Wilson to end Welsh interest in the event.
Newbridge pro Walker beat world number one Mark Selby 5-2 on Tuesday.
And he followed up his shock win with another 5-2 victory over Gloucester’s Robert Milkins on Wednesday.
But the 41-year-old was no match for Scotland’s Anthony McGill, going down 5-0 to the 26-year-old yesterday.
