GREAT Britain's sliding success at the 2018 Winter Olympics looked set to continue after an impressive series of training times were posted by the two-woman bobsleigh duo of Newport's Mica Moore and driver Mica McNeill.
Pilot McNeill, who crowdfunded her way to the Games in Pyeongchang after her funding was cut by the governing body in September, placed joint-second and third in the final two training runs on Monday.
McNeill and Moore have never finished on a World Cup podium, claiming a career-best finish of fifth in Whistler in November.
However, if their times in training are anything to go by then Wales may well be celebrating a second medal of the Games come Wednesday lunchtime.
They get their Olympic campaign in South Korea up and running tomorrow with two runs, before runs three and four follow 24 hours later.
