NEWPORT Gwent Dragons Under-18s will head into their final WRU Regional Championship group stage match against the Ospreys on Wednesday with their title hopes still alive, but they need a favour from Cardiff Blues.

The Dragons head to Swansea on the back of a hard-earned 28-7 win against RGC 1404, meaning that all four south Wales teams can qualify for the grand final.

The Gwent youngsters triumphed at Parc Eirias thanks to tries by fly-half Josh Malson, centre Arwel Robson, flanker Nathan Hudd and winger Lloyd Lewis, the last score coming at the death to earn the bonus point.

The Dragons, who have recovered from a sluggish start to the campaign to win their last four on the spin, must now beat the Ospreys and hope that the Scarlets slip up in their home encounter with leaders Cardiff Blues.

Standings: 1 Cardiff Blues (24), 2 Ospreys (22), 3 Scarlets (20), 4 Dragons (19), 5 RGC 1404 (3)
