HALLAM Amos has been released from Wales’ Six Nations camp to play a full part in Newport Gwent Dragons’ preparations for Sunday's Guinness Pro12 encounter with Ulster at Rodney Parade, writes Chris Kirwan.

The 20-year-old wing/full-back has not featured for Warren Gatland’s side in the tournament so far and played for his region in the losses to Connacht, scoring two tries, and Zebre.

Amos’ hopes of getting a call-up for the Italy finale probably rest on Ireland ending Wales’ title hopes a week on Saturday.

Fellow wing Alex Cuthbert has been released for Cardiff Blues’ home encounter with Connacht along with tighthead Scott Andrews, hooker Kristian Dacey, centre Cory Allen and fly-half/full-back Gareth Anscombe.

Tighthead Aaron Jarvis and back row forwards James King and Justin Tipuric will boost the Ospreys for their clash with Munster at the Liberty Stadium and scrum-half Gareth Davies, fly-half Rhys Priestland and centre Scott Williams will line up for the Scarlets against Leinster in Llanelli.

- Worcester have confirmed that they have signed flanker Sam Lewis, who left the Ospreys last season.

The 24-year-old left the Liberty Stadium after finding his way to regular first team rugby blocked by Justin Tipuric.

Lewis signed for Newport Gwent Dragons last December but then did a swift U-turn after being assured by the Ospreys that he would get plenty of opportunities.

However, he was unable to force his way into the fold with his chances further hit when Wales blindside Dan Lydiate signed on a dual contract.

Lewis will now attempt to help Worcester beat Bristol to promotion to the Aviva Premiership.
