NEWPORT Gwent Dragons head coach Darren Edwards has admitted there is no margin for error in tonight’s clash with Edinburgh.

The RaboDirect Pro12 league table doesn’t make pretty reading ahead of this evening’s encounter at Rodney Parade.

The Dragons lie in 11th place with bottom club Aironi within striking distance.

The region travel to Italy next weekend to take on the basement outfit and Edwards expects to go to the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella looking for back-to-back successes.

"Tonight is a huge game, it’s a must-win game," said Edwards.

"Our number one priority is league points, a good performance would be nice but our minimum requirement is a win.

"We can have no excuses. Preparation has gone well this week and we have a good team out there.

"The players know what is expected of them. We couldn’t have done any more in the build-up and now is the time to deliver.

“The result didn’t go our way in Ulster last week but the attitude of the players was spot on.

“We need the same again because the next two weeks are massive for us.”

The Dragons are without lock Adam Jones, who suffered another blow on his troublesome right ankle at Ravenhill last week, and scrum-half Wayne Evans, who has back trouble.

Jevon Groves starts in the second row while Joe Bedford wears the number 9 jersey and is backed up by Wales Under-20s prospect Jon Evans.
