At the Dragons V Leinster fixture on March 27th Friends of Newport Rugby started a new initiative with Rodney Parade Ltd to run a mobile sales trailer within the stadium grounds. Manned by volunteers the stall sells Dragons merchandise from the club shop and also FoNR branded items.
Sales were good and the event will be repeated in the future. Newport and Dragons centre Pat Leach helped out on the stall and commented ‘that it was a great idea to increase revenue’ and he thanked the volunteers for their efforts.
FoNR are trying to raise enough money to be able to provide a disabled toilet facility within the Rodney Parade clubhouse.
Next time you visit a Dragons game, call in to see for yourself and pick up a bargain.
FoNR continue to run a merchandise stall at Newport RFC games that is located in the clubhouse.
