LLANDOVERY stand between Cross Keys and a return to the Millennium Stadium for the Swalec Cup final, writes Chris Kirwan.

The Pandy Park outfit’s reward for beating Cardiff in the last eight is a clash with the Drovers at on the weekend of April 12.

Llandovery, who beat Ebbw Vale in the quarters, sit third in the Premiership and will be tough opponents but Keys will be pleased to have avoided favourites and holders Pontypridd, who take on Aberavon.

Keys, who famously lifted the cup after beating Ponty in the 2012 final, have had to do things the hard way in the cup after being drawn away to Premiership rivals Bedwas, Neath and the Blue and Blacks.

This season’s Premiership meetings between the sides went with home advantage – Keys winning 29-13 at Pandy Park in September and the Drovers triumphing 23-16 at Church Bank last month.

The dates and venues for the games will be confirmed later this week.
