NEWPORT Gwent Dragons have been snubbed in the 2014/2015 Guinness PRO12 Dream Team selection.

There is no place for Wales and British & Irish Lions star Taulupe Faletau, young guns Hallam Amos and Tyler Morgan or any of their Rodney Parade teammates in the side.

The super XV was picked by a media panel of 11 journalists from all four countries represented in the Pro12 and was chaired by Rory Sheridan, head of sponsorship for western Europe at Diageo.

The Ospreys, who slipped into the narrowest of leads at the top of the table on Friday night, boast three players in the dream team – Dan Biggar, Rhys Webb and captain Alun Wyn Jones.

And there is one Scarlets star as Liam Williams makes the cut but that is it as far as Welsh representatives go.

As well as Williams and the three Ospreys aces there are also three each from Glasgow Warriors and Ulster in the team, two each from Munster and Connacht and one from Edinburgh.

Glasgow’s Josh Strauss takes the No.8 shirt ahead of Faletau, the South African going from strength to strength in his third season at Scotstoun.

The Pro12 awards ceremony will take place in the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin, on Sunday, May 17.
