TEENAGER Tyler Morgan has been told to ignore the bumper Millennium Stadium crowd and express himself on the big stage when he makes his Wales debut on Saturday.

The Newport Gwent Dragons centre gets a golden opportunity to force his way into the World Cup squad when he lines up against Six Nations champions Ireland (kick-off 2.30pm).

The 19-year-old from Caerleon enjoyed an excellent campaign for the Rodney Parade side to earn selection in Warren Gatland's 47-strong training squad.

Morgan's chances of featuring at England 2015 have since been boosted by the absence of key man Jonathan Davies through a knee injury but his boss has urged him to ignore the bigger picture in Cardiff this weekend.

"With Tyler it's case of making sure we don't put any pressure on him – go out there and enjoy the occasion and experience and learn from it," said Gatland.

"I think he is very similar to Scott Williams and Jonathan Davies, he is quick and is big for a youngster.

"We took him out of the Under-20s (squad for June's World Championship) to have him involved with us full-time and he has continued to improve as the squad gone along."

Morgan will line up alongside fellow Dragons young gun Hallam Amos, who will start at full-back for the first time since facing Glasgow in the Guinness Pro12 in September to add to the cap he won against Tonga in 2013.

The 20-year-old, an unused member of the Six Nations squad, also dazzled at Rodney Parade last summer and has continued to impress at Wales' camps in Switzerland and Qatar.

"Hallam has been around a bit longer (than Morgan) but hasn't had many opportunities," said Gatland.

"He has been very impressive in training and I couldn't believe how good his footwork is while we saw with the Dragons some of the tries scored and some of the offloads he has done.

"It's a great chance for him, particularly if Liam (Williams) doesn't come through from his recovery and rehab. If he is not available for the World Cup squad then we have got to make sure we have that full-back cover if Leigh does pick up an injury."

While Morgan and Amos get the chance to press for World Cup inclusion, fellow Dragon Jack Dixon misses out on the squad.

The 20-year-old centre is set to cover for any pre-match injuries in the backs by being 24th man and will take part in the matchday build-up.

However, he missed out on selection as Wales want a sprinkling of experience with Scott Williams wearing 12 and captaining the side.
