WALES will host World Cup heroes Japan in the autumn internationals – with kit provider Under Armour becoming the title sponsor of the series after agreeing a fresh nine-year deal.

The Brave Blossoms have been confirmed as the final side that will head to Cardiff in November, joining Australia, Argentina and South Africa in taking on Warren Gatland’s side.

Japan caused one of the biggest shocks in rugby history when they beat the Springboks last year only to be pipped to a place in the quarter-finals by Scotland.

They stunned Wales when the sides met during the British and Irish Lions tour of 2013, triumphing 23-8 in Tokyo after being edged out 22-18 by Robin McBryde’s tourists in Osaka.

“The Under Armour Series will be about testing ourselves against the best sides in the world, and with Japan now completing the fixture line-up for 2016, we have four teams from World Rugby’s top ten coming to the Principality Stadium in November,” said Wales head coach Warren Gatland.

The series will be sponsored by Under Armour, who have agreed a new contract with the Welsh Rugby Union that will run through to 2025, making it a 17-year partnership.
