GWENT'S Mark Williams is out of the Welsh Open after losing his quarter-final 5-3 to Stephen Maguire this afternoon.
The Cwm-born star was 3-2 up against the Scot but lost three frames in a row to see his hopes of victory in his home tournament come to an end.
Fellow Welshman Matthew Stevens takes on world number one John Higgins in his quarter-final clash from 7pm tonight.
